Welcome to my Efolio at SFSU
Welcome to my ePortfolio at San Francisco State University! Here you will get to know me, Claire Bailey, personally and professionally.
I was born and raised in the Bay Area. From an early age I knew that I wanted to be a school teacher but had little knowledge of what it entailed. Throughout my childhood and early adolescence my teachers always had a large impact on me. I have always been interested in the arts so the idea of art school arose when applying to colleges out of High School but I chose the path that I thought would benefit me the most. I started out in the Fall of 2004 at Sacramento State University in the Liberal Studies program. I started with child development courses and field experience right away. This early experience in the classroom showed me that elementary school education was the right path for me and it also lead me to start creating my own teaching philosophies. However, CSUS was not the right school for me and in Fall 2008 I transferred to the Liberal Studies program at SFSU. You can read more about me in my Intellectual Biography, that I have posted in the Liberal Studies section under the LS300 class section. On this site you will also learn about my past accomplishments and be kept up to date with my current and future projects in the Liberal Studies program at SFSU. This site will also include a plan of study up to Spring 2010 when I intend to graduate and pursue the Credential Program. You can reach me at my SFSU email address: cebailey@sfsu.edu |
